Carnarvon Bay, Anglesey

Historical Description

Carnarvon Bay, an offset of the Irish Sea on the west coast of Anglesey and Carnarvonshire. It commences between Holyhead on the north and Braich-y-PwIl on the south, measures 30 miles across the entrance, has a somewhat triangular outline, and penetrates 17 miles eastward to the SW mouth of the Menai Strait.
