Wick or Wick-near-Pershore, a village, a township, and a parish in Worcestershire. The village is about 1 mile from the river Avon, 1 E of Pershore, and 2 miles SE of Pershore station on the G.W.R. There is a post office under Pershore; money order and telegraph office, Pershore. Acreage of the township, 1682; population, 294. Wick House, Upper Wick House, Avonbank, Vandyke Court, Bryn Issa, and The Grange are the chief residences. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Worcester; net value, £176 with residence. Patron, the Vicar of Pershore. The church is ancient, and was restored in 1893.
