Historical Description
Sutton Montague or Sutton Montis, a parish in Somerset, 1½ mile SE of Sparkford station on the G.W.R., and 5 miles N by W of Sherborne. It has a post office of the name of Sutton Mentis under Bath; money order and telegraph office, Queen Camel. Acreage, 514; population, 118. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Bath and Wells; net value, £200 with residence. The church is partly Norman.
