Charlton-Adam, a parish in Somerset, on the Fosse Way, 6 miles NW from Sparkford railway station, and 9 ENE of Langport. By the Divided Parishes Act this parish was amalgamated with Charlton-Mackrell, Compton-Dandoy and Kingweston. It has a post office under Somerton; money order and telegraph office, Keinton Mandeville; population, 295. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Bath. and Wells; net value, £77 with residence. The church i& Later English. There is a Wesleyan chapel.
