Sutterby, Lincolnshire

Historical Description

Sutterby, a village and a parish in Lincolnshire, 5 miles WSW of Alford, and 5 N by W from Spilsby stations on the East Lincolnshire section of the G.N.R. Post town, Spilsby. Acreage, 477; population, 36. There are some barrows on the downs to the E of the village. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Lincoln; gross value, £125. Patron, the Lord Chancellor. The church is a small and plain building in the Perpendicular style.
