Historical Description
Kelstern, a village and a parish in Lincolnshire. The village lies 6 miles NW from Louth station on the G.N.R. The parish contains also the hamlet of Lambcroft, and its post town is Louth; money order office, Ludford; telegraph office, Binbrooke. Acreage, 2626; population, 221. The property belongs to the Denison family, who are also lords of the manor. There is a barrow. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Lincoln; net yearly value, £135. The church comprises nave and chancel, with a tower, and contains a beautiful monument to Lady South, who died in 1604.
