West Derby, a parish mainly in the county borough of Liverpool, but partly in the administrative county of Lancaster. It is also one of the parliamentary divisions of Liverpool. The area of the portion in the municipal borough is 674 acres; population, 76,971; of the administrative or rural portion, 5529 acres; population, 37,702. The population of the parliamentary division is 76,971. The ecclesiastical parishes are Christ Church, Kensington (population, 7804), St John the Baptist, The Brook (7732), St Mary the Virgin (20,348), and St Nathaniel, Windsor (6192). The living of St Mary is a rectory; gross value, £1300.
