Layton with Warbreck, Lancashire

Historical Description

Layton-with-Warbreck, a township in Bispham parish, Lancashire, on the coast and on the Blackpool railway, 2½ miles SW of Poulton-le-Fylde. It contains Blackpool and Southshore. Post town and money order and telegraph office, Blackpool. Acreage, 2359 of land and 761 of foreshore; population, 21, 970. The manor belongs to the Clifton family. See BLACKPOOL.
