Haighton, a township in Preston parish, Lancashire, on— the river Wyre, 4 miles NNE of Preston, and 2½ from Grimsargh station on the L. & Y.R. and L. & N.W.R. Post town, Preston; money order and telegraph office, Ful-wood. Acreage, 1078; population, 252. It includes the-hamlet of Cow Hill.
