The church of St. James the Great is an edifice of stone, in the Early English and Perpendicular styles, consisting of chancel, nave of seven bays, north porch, south aisle, and a lofty embattled western tower containing a clock and 6 bells: in 1896 the church was restored, at a cost of about £2,000: there are 360 sittings.
